Frequently asked question
Cassava and taro are snap frozen at harvest on the farm, then transported to our freezer warehouse in Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne. When your order is received online, our refrigerated courier service picks your order at the warehouse and delivers to your door. When placing your order, you give us “Authority to Leave” (ATL): if nobody is available to receive the package during business hours, the courier will leave the cool box at the delivery address. Cassava and taro will remain frozen for approximately 24 hours inside the carton at ambient temperature.
Cassava and taro are packaged and sold by the carton – a cardboard box which contains individual packs inside an insulation liner. Carton size is approximately 440 x 320 x 150mm.
No, we do not sell individual packs. We sell carton boxes only. Our products are aimed at wholesale customers (restaurants, food processors) and retail customers who regularly eat cassava and taro. Delivery costs for small orders are also very expensive because we use cold (frozen) storage and distribution. Delivery costs for small orders can be higher than the product itself.

Cassava is naturally free from gluten and is popular with people allergic to nuts, coconut, grains, and those following a low or gluten-free diet. Shredded cassava (Tapioca) flour is virtually tasteless and odourless but is used to achieve a spongy, light, and fluffy texture in baked goods or to make crispy pie crusts and pizzas. Cassava is has high carbohydrate content as well as potassium, vitamin C, and other trace elements.
